    Dr. Shaun Crowell

I was born in West Tennessee and graduated from high school in Union City in 1991. It was during my senior year that I decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and graduated Cum Laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Later that year I was accepted into veterinary school at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, College of Veterinary Medicine. During my studies at UT, I placed an emphasis on small animal medicine and surgery. I graduated from UT in 1999 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.)

I am married to my beautiful bride, Christi. God has blessed our marriage with three wonderful children Elizabeth, Ashley, and Ethan. We have three dogs. My oldest dog is Liberty, a Border Collie that we rescued, then Mr. Darcy, a Yorkie-Poodle mix that we also rescued, and finally Honey, our Golden Retriever.

These past few years I have practiced as a small animal veterinarian throughout this great state. I have been an associate veterinarian, relief veterinarian and ER veterinarian. In 2009, I founded Agape Pet Hospital with the hopes and dreams of providing the citizens of Spring Hill and Thompsons Station with high quality veterinary medicine and surgery. I am excited to meet you and your pet. I invite you to visit our hospital and become a part of our Agape family.

  • Dr.Trisha Metz

    Dr.Trisha Metz

I graduated with a doctorate in veterinary medicine from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Initially, I wanted to pursue a career in zoo medicine and wild life rehabilitation. I even participated in externships at Brookfield Zoo in Chicago and The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) in Sanibel Island, Florida while in vet school.

In 2006 during my fourth year in vet school, I married my college sweet-heart, Brian, and thus came back to Spring Hill upon graduating. Since then, I have spent my time practicing small animal medicine and have been with Agape Pet Hospital since July of 2014.

Although initially born in Michigan, I came to Spring Hill in 2001 and thus consider it my home. I’m a Southern girl at heart! My husband and I have two young boys, Maine & Sutton, and a brand new baby girl, Fallon Grace who keep us extremely active with their love of all sports, especially baseball, soccer and basketball. Besides our two biological sons and daughter, we have three 4-legged babies. Sheffield, Hamilton and Bean have been with me since attending vet school and hold the title of the “first children” of the household!

Other than spending time with family and friends, I enjoy painting, gardening, crafting, refurbishing furniture, reading, bike riding, boating and many other outdoor activities! Playing an active role at church is also very important to me. Currently my husband and I teach a 4th grade Sunday School class. My true passion is taking care of animals AND their people and I’m blessed to get to go be able to go to work and do what I love!

  • Dr. Brian J Pileggi

Born in New Jersey, raised in a small town in western New York and relocated to south-central Pennsylvania for undergraduate studies.  I have traditionally been a "Yankee" from up north.  However, the Lord has allowed me the great opportunity to travel around the United States and see this beautiful country that he created.  I was able to attend veterinary school at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS while spending summers in Boston, MA and Mobile, AL.  I have also lived in Southern Pines, NC and South Bend, IN since graduation from veterinary school.  I recently moved to TN and have been with Agape Pet Hospital since March 2016.  I hope to focus my energy and skills here at Agape in the fields of ultrasound, dentistry, internal medicine, exotic animals, and preventative care.

I met my beautiful wife, Sara when living in South Bend, IN and we have been married since 2011.  Sara and I have two wonderful children who occupy most of our time outside of work.  They are such a great joy to us each and every day.  With the Lord as our guide, we strive to show them selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love that is "agape" love.

We also have 2 dogs, Abraham Ulwharrie (AKA Abe), and Gibbs (as in Leroy Jethrow Gibbs from NCIS - we are huge fans!), and one cat Ziggy.  We hope to one day add on some goats, alpaca and possibly many other fun animals to our family!
